The direct AirAsia flight from Kuala Lumpur currently arrives in Labuan Bajo at approximately 14:25. Because our shared trip boats normally depart the following morning, travellers must arrive in Labuan Bajo at least one day before the scheduled boat departure.

- Day 1 — Komodo trip begins. Check out of your hotel in the morning and proceed to the designated meeting point or harbour. Board your Phinisi boat and begin your Komodo Shared Trip 3 Days 2 Nights.
- Day 2 — Full day in Komodo National Park. Explore destinations such as Padar Island, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, and selected snorkelling locations, depending on the itinerary and weather conditions.
- Day 3 — Final day of the boat trip. Visit the remaining destinations before returning to Labuan Bajo. Most shared trip boats arrive back at the harbour between approximately 11:00 and 12:30.
When Should You Fly Back to Malaysia?

We strongly recommend spending one additional night in Labuan Bajo after your boat trip and booking your return flight for the following day.
Although most boats are expected to return before or around midday, the exact arrival time cannot be guaranteed. Weather, sea conditions, harbour queues, itinerary adjustments, and other operational circumstances may cause delays.
Staying one more night gives you a comfortable travel buffer and avoids the risk of missing your international flight. You can also enjoy a final evening in Labuan Bajo before returning to Kuala Lumpur.
✈️ Same-day return flight — Only when the timing is safely confirmed
A same-day flight may be possible if your boat returns early and the international flight departs sufficiently late. However, this option carries more risk and is not generally recommended.
If you are considering a same-day return flight, please check the latest flight schedule and discuss your boat’s estimated return time with us before purchasing your ticket. Even after confirmation, boat arrival times remain subject to weather, sea, harbour, and operational conditions.

A Komodo shared trip — also known as an open trip or group liveaboard — allows you to reserve a cabin or bed on a scheduled Phinisi boat departure. You will share the boat and itinerary with other travellers, making it one of the most cost-effective ways to explore Komodo National Park while still enjoying an overnight sailing experience, onboard meals, guided activities, and comfortable accommodation.
Shared trips are particularly suitable for couples, solo travellers, friends, and small groups who do not need to charter an entire boat.

Travel Tips for Malaysian Visitors
- Visa: Malaysian passport holders are currently eligible for Indonesia’s Visa Exemption for short tourism visits. A Visa on Arrival is generally not required when entering under the applicable visa-exemption conditions. Travellers should carry a passport valid for at least six months from the arrival date and proof of onward or return travel. Immigration requirements can change, so always check the latest information from the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration before travelling.
